Product Details
CST178, as Proyon's flagship product for 2022, is the industry's first gel-infused, moisture-locking mask base material achieving 17.8gsm (grams per square metre) in its dry state. CST178 is a polysaccharide-based natural cellulose fibre short staple sheet. Polysaccharide cellulose fibres possess high molecular weight water-binding factors; upon hydration, water molecules fuse with polysaccharides to form a CMC structure. Even after vigorous squeezing, the sheet retains moisture for up to 45 minutes, maintaining a plump, hydrated surface. A single CST178 sheet weighs 0.7g. When fully hydrated (non-dripping state), its weight reaches approximately 27g, achieving a water expansion rate of around 3800%. Research indicates that the CMC structure exhibits anti-inflammatory properties and aids in cleansing skin scar formation through adsorption. When paired with restorative cosmetic formulations (such as those targeting whitening and spot reduction, anti-ageing and wrinkle reduction, acne repair, etc.), it effectively enhances serum absorption rates, prolongs efficacy duration, increases serum utilisation efficiency, and can treat abrasions, lacerations, minor cuts, minor scalds, and minor burns. CST178 is widely applicable and compatible with medical dressings, cosmetic fabrics, and other skin-contact carriers. It is completely non-toxic and compostable.
