This product is made from 30% white natural paper mulberry fiber blended with 70% Tencel fiber, manufactured using a fully cross-laid hydroentanglement process to create a plain weave fabric. Paper mulberry is widely distributed across China, a resilient wild bast plant whose roots, stems, leaves, and bark each serve distinct purposes. The mulberry bark is smooth and light gray, with its phloem containing a high proportion of quality fibers. Fiber content reaches nearly 60%, with a hemicellulose content of 13.49%. The average fiber length is 16.0mm, and the average elongation is 6%, comparable to flax. Its fineness is relatively fine, similar to fine cotton, though its strength is lower than that of flax and ramie fibers. It exhibits greater elongation than these fibers and offers an exceptionally soft handfeel. Mulberry fibers exhibit a closed tubular structure with a slightly thicker middle and tapered ends. Their surface features minor grooves and fine nodules, maintaining overall smoothness. Some fibers display subtle, inconspicuous twists. Their macromolecular crystallinity and orientation properties are comparable to but slightly inferior than common natural fibers. The cross-section is nearly elliptical with a central cavity. Mulberry fiber exhibits stable chemical properties and excellent corrosion resistance. It demonstrates good spinning and hydroentanglement performance, but its high moisture regain rate makes it unsuitable for single-spun applications. Therefore, we blend it with 70% Tencel fiber. Additionally, it offers antibacterial properties and natural biodegradability, aligning with contemporary low-carbon and eco-friendly principles, making it particularly suitable for manufacturing facial mask fabrics. The paper mulberry raw material undergoes the following sequential processes: bark removal, beating to remove impurities, two weeks of microbial delignification, drying, acid immersion, alkali neutralization, alkali boiling, cellulase treatment, bleaching, washing, and drying to obtain paper mulberry fiber. The paper mulberry fiber in CPM50 products appears white, having undergone bleaching. Even in its dry state, the curled paper mulberry fibers remain clearly visible, becoming more pronounced when wet. When used in spunlace nonwovens or facial mask fabrics, it imparts a natural texture to the material.
